The effectiveness of financial regulations and supervision on mutual insurers
This dissertation investigates the target reach and effectiveness of financial regulation and the related supervision of mutual insurers. It also investigates whether regulations and/or supervision have undesirable side effects.
The research is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical research focuses on the Civil Code and the Financial Supervision Act. The practical part has been instituted at a number of mutual or cooperative insurers / a number of member councils thereof.
