This study presents a randomized controlled trail in frail community-dwelling older adults. All participants received twice weekly full body resistance exercise training. Half of the participants received an additional protein intervention. Primary outcome was muscle strength leg press. Secondary outcomes were measures of muscle strength, muscle mass, physical performance and other health related outcomes. Data were collected at baseline and after twelve weeks.

The research protocol described the measurements and interventions. The statistical analysis plan gives an overview of the analysis done for two objectives: (I) Finding the optimum for training variables and (II) the additional effect of the protein intervention and total protein intake.
