Lay versus scientific understanding of compliance (COVID)

This project examines how lay understanding of what shapes compliance may align with the scientific understanding of these processes. For this purpose, it compares the perceived influence of different compliance mechanisms on compliance with empirical evidence on these associations. The setting in which it examines these processes is social distancing measures during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The data were collected as part of a longitudinal survey into (self-reported) compliance with social distancing measures,
