This research aims to contribute to the current body of knowledge by introducing and empirically validating 'embodied empowerment' as a predictive structure for adherence to wearable self-care technology. Using partial least squares structural equation modeling and multigroup analysis on a dataset consisting of 317 users of wearable self-care technologies, we find empirical evidence of the validity of the structure as adherence determinant.
